Pass us a glass or twenty: Aldi will soon be selling a three-litre bottle of Prosecco

If you’ve already started your Christmas food shopping list (in which case a massive congratulations to you, you are a very organised human being) then you’ll need to cross out your alcohol plans, because Aldi is offering an amazing Prosecco deal that you’d be silly to miss out on.

Seriously, brace yourselves for this news, people.

The super-cheap supermarket is set to be releasing a 3-litre bottle of Prosecco for just £39.99.

In case you’re unsure about whether that’s impressive or not – you’ll be pleasantly surprised to know that three litres of bubbly equals around 24 glasses, and is approximately four times the capacity of a standard wine bottle.

So basically, you’ll be able to get your entire family boozy for just £40 – or, if you’re thinking of buying for yourself, at least it’ll ensure you’ve constantly got a supply of bubbles for a good couple of weeks.

The jeroboam of premium DOCG Prosecco, which is from Italy’s Veneto region, will be available in all Aldi stores from 14th November, just in time for your stressful December food shop – and is said to offer notes of ‘fresh citrus fruits and wisteria flower’ with a ‘refreshing acidity and soft sherbet taste’.

But let’s be honest, it could taste like your standard bubbly and we’d still be happy – you can’t really complain about three litres of cheap bubbles, now can you?
